This tour is of the gardens around the store to help give you some inspiration. We will walk around and discuss the benefits of many herbs around the gardens to prompt more questions which will lead to you answer the solutions for you and your garden. This is a new concept for us born out of customer comments so we would love to show you around and answer questions along the way. This would be great for those looking to start from scratch as well as add herbs into an existing landscape. This is an outside walking tour so please dress accordingly. We will discuss the most commonly purchased foods like tomatoes, peppers, beans, cucumbers, squash, basil, parsley and much more. This class takes the topic of growing the food you buy and builds upon in to give you hands on experience both in the kitchen and the garden. Spend time exploring what herbs and vegetables are commonly used and then learn how to grow, harvest, prepare, cook and preserve your produce and dishes. Enjoy learning the benefits of growing your own food along with quick and easy ways to do it. This is a fun class looking at helping you get started toward enjoying some home grown produce. After enjoying the class you will be served lunch with time to converse and compare notes. Registration and payment of $80 per person is required in advance via the website.
